Obsession Protocol

(methodological instruction for artistic experiment)

1. Object

Obsession chooses the object itself.
The artist doesn't seek it, they recognize an already occurred capture.

β†’ Object becomes not what is investigated, but what investigates you.

2. Condition

Don't exit the circle of repetitions.
Repetition β€” not error, but structure.

The task is not to find new, but to unfold the same to extreme deformation,
until it begins to creak and break.

3. Procedure

  • Fix obsessive returns of image.
  • Don't correct, but intensify.
  • Allow object to grow through glitches, failures, refusals.
  • Don't heal, don't save. Make worse.

4. Principle

Work is conducted not for result, but for symptom.
Obsession β€” is a tool, because it breaks the habitual economy of productivity.

β†’ It's always unproductive, always slow, always viscous.

5. Risk

The artist must allow their own loss of control.
Obsession β€” is not what they possess, but what captures them and forces them to carry.

6. Exit

There is no exit.
Obsession β€” is a protocol without a "stop" button.

Its "result" β€” is mutation of subject:
the artist exits the cycle changed, but not completed.

πŸ“Œ Result:
Obsession β€” is a factory of glitches.
Glitch β€” is the organ of the alien.
Artistic experiment β€” not an act of creation, but life inside this loop.
